Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

This one-day course will provide a working knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) advice, and give you a chance to reflect on what is important for your company.

Session 1: Defining CSR for your company

Starting with your business drivers, this session will help define your responsible business practices for your company. Using different approaches including stakeholder analysis, you will have a chance to think widely about the upcoming issues and the priorities and begin to develop your own action plan.

Session 2: Getting internal buy-in, a business perspective
Communicate CSR throughout your business.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Practical techniques for getting internal buy-in from the top to the bottom of the company
  • How to communicate and highlight business benefits

Session 3: An integrated approach to CSR

This session will give you a framework to conduct your own review of how your company is managing and integrating corporate responsibility, and highlight the gaps.

Session 4: Managing CSR within a business – a business perspective.

Outlines how to integrate and structure CSR within your business.

Session 5: The business case for CSR

Using a case study example to demonstrate how being a responsible business can help meet company challenges and priorities with reference to appropriate measures and targets.
